Our Summer Camps in Frederick, Maryland include swimming, cooking, and special field trips. We also take  trips to the movies, library and local parks. We enjoy games, crafts, outdoor adventures, and learning activities. Our summer campers come from all over Maryland including Frederick, Walkersville, Libertytown, Urbana, Hagerstown, Ijamsville, Middletown and surrounding areas in Maryland. We are active, academic and love adventures!

Preschool Camps  (Ages 2-5 years)

Engaging activities encourage curiosity, creativity and cooperation as young explorers discover the world around them. Campers participate in hands-on learning activities, music & movement, arts and crafts,tumbling, outdoor play, weekly water play days and special events!

School Age Camps  (Ages 5-9 years)

For children rising to K-4th Grades. School Age campers enjoy daily outing to local parks, arts and crafts, games, science experiments, gardening, cooking, swimming, plus weekly field trips and special events.

2018 Summer Camp Adventures

June 4 – August 30

June 4-8    Once Upon a Time  (Ages 2-5 years)

Join us as we travel to the make-believe land of “Once Upon a Time.” Did you know fairy tales build critical thinking skills and help children learn right from wrong? Your child will enjoy drama, dress-up, singing and dancing in this adventure of imagination.

June 11-15    Fairies & Gnomes

Do YOU believe? What enchanting creatures live in the woods waiting to be discovered? Who will we find hidden under the brush? Where exactly do Fairies live? Are Gnomes really that scary? We’ll have fun exploring make believe with Gnome games, recycled fairy homes, fairy wings, magic, mischief and fairy dust.

June 18-22    Backyard Science

Our little scientists will take their magnifying glasses and explore the creatures that live in the grass around us. They will learn about plants and dissect a lima bean! Outdoors they will make a plastic bag explode and create a rainbow. So many fun and messy experiments await us!

June 25-29    Rockin’ Rainforest

Did you know there are different plants, insects, and animals in the different layers of the rainforest? Our little monkeys will jump, climb, and swing through our rainforest, create rainforest art, and learn about the importance of our rainforest. Lots of stories and adventures in the Rainforest!

July 2-6    Silly Sports (no camp on 7/4)

Let the games begin! It’s all about teamwork. Join us as we play fun and crazy games with the largest bubble competition throughout the week! Don’t miss this silly and active week!

July 9-13     Big Messy Art

Grab your passport, pack your suitcase and prepare for a week of adventure as we travel the world. Each day we’ll learn about the culture, music, dance, foods, and art of a new coun-try as we travel around the world each day!

July 16-20    Rescue Heroes!

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No-it’s your super kid saving the day. This week’s theme will focus on citizenship and our community super heroes like fireman, police, military—real life heroes! Lot’s of role play, games and adventures.

July 23-27     Top Chef Up

Put on your chef hat! Create delicious snacks and recipes at camp. There is a lot of math in cooking as we learn to measure and pour! Learn about food preparation and cooking safety. How about some homemade play dough and slime? Let’s set the table and practice our manners for our pizza lunch we cook ourselves! And, of course we will make music with our own kitchen band.

July 30-August 3    Down Under in Australia

G’day, Ow ya goin Mate? Time to learn about Australia, the culture and animals. We will learn about Kangaroos, cuddly Koalas, and Kookaburra’s. Have you ever seen a Wombat and a Platy-pus? You will when we take this adventure Down Under!

August 6-10    Out of this World

We’ll get a little wild and crazy as we conduct experiments and explore the universe. Can we defy gravity? Campers will learn about astronauts and space travel. Your child will design and build a rocket ship they want to take to the moon! Don’t space out and miss this far out adventure!

August 13-17    Pirates

Arrrh! Every day is talk like a pirate day! Each day our young buccaneers will sail the seven seas, exploring new islands and learning adventures. Watch out or you will walk the plank! Campers will discover the pirate’s map to find clues to the treasures hidden at The Bee!

August 20-24    Construction Zone

Put on your hard hat, we are headed to the CONSTRUCTION ZONE! Our junior designers and architects will team together to construct buildings, bridges, and homes. They will work with nuts, bolts, and screws. Let’s take things apart and put them back together! A real carpenter will visit and show us some of their work. And we will get to see some real construction vehicles.

August 27-30    Fabulous Feet (no camp on 8/31

We don’t need a motor to go….this week we will use our feet! Join us as we explore a local park, take nature walks, challenge ourselves with games, obstacle courses, and the BEAM. Stretching, dancing, and yoga will challenge us to take care of our wonderful bodies! We will enjoy soccer, old fashioned sack and 3-legged races, and bike/trike day! Fancy foot art, music and more…
